\nIn 2022, the Mozambique LNG consortium launched the Pamoja Tunaweza initiative (\u201cTogether We Can\u201d in Kiswahili), a community-driven programme designed in collaboration with local communities, government authorities and civil society to foster socio-economic progress near its industrial operations, mainly in the district of Palma, in the Province of Cabo Delgado.

\nRecognizing the initiative\u2019s positive outcomes, the consortium partners took a decisive step to broaden their impact. They established a dedicated foundation, incorporated under Mozambican law in December 2023, with the mission to support the long-term development priorities of the entire Cabo Delgado province.<\/p>\n
The Foundation became fully operational in February 2025, with established governance, executive leadership, and the systems needed to design, manage and scale development programmes across Cabo Delgado.
