[vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Foundation Executive Board Representatives Visit Projects in Pemba” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”5″ images=”909,911,913,907,915″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]On August 12\u201313, 2025, the Mozambique LNG Foundation hosted in Pemba, the provincial capital of Cabo Delgado, a visit by its Executive Board representatives Mr. Ajay Sasikumar (from ONGC Videsh Rovuma Limited & BREMEL) and Mr. Wataru Kosami (from Mitsui & Co.). They were joined by Mr. Nurmomade Abdulcarimo, one of the 7 members of the Advisory Board of the Mozambique LNG Foundation. In addition to visiting the projects implemented by the Foundation in the first half of 2025, the group was able to meet with key provincial and municipal authorities, including: HE Valige Tauabo, Governor of the Province of Cabo Delgado; Mr. Satar Abdul Ghani, President of the Pemba Municipal Council; Dr. Magide Sabune, Provincial Director of Health; and Mr. Ivaldo Quincardete, Provincial Director of Education.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The 2-day mission revolved around 3 important projects supported by the Foundation and included:[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The formal handover of the Samora Machel primary and secondary school<\/strong>, rehabilitated following its destruction by the Chido Cyclone that hit the province in December 2024. A total of 6 schools were rehabilitated with support from the Foundation in the first half of 2025 \u2013 3 in the Mec\u00fafi district and 3 in Pemba city \u2013 in which over 23.000 students are currently registered.<\/li>\n
  2. The official launch of a 6-months Health Training Program<\/strong> preparing 200 Community Health Agents originating from 14 districts of Cabo Delgado. They will serve some 400,000 people, offering the first line of access to health in their respective communities.<\/li>\n
  3. The inspection of the Paquitequete Water Distribution System,<\/strong> a locally operated, solar-powered and grid-connected network, delivering clean water to over 30,000 residents in one of Pemba\u2019s oldest and most overcrowded neighborhoods.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
