Our Approach

At the Mozambique LNG Foundation, our work is guided by a deep commitment to Mozambique’s long-term development. We align our efforts with national priorities and focus on delivering high-impact, community-driven solutions that are both scalable and sustainable.

Here’s how we approach development:

Alignment with National Strategies

We work within Mozambique’s key development frameworks, including the National Development Strategy (ENDE) 2023–2042, the Five-Year Government Plan (PQG), PREDIN, and the Reconstruction Plan for Cabo Delgado (PRCD). These strategies shape our priorities and ensure our contributions are meaningful and measurable.

High-Impact, Multiplier Interventions

Our initiatives are designed to create ripple effects. For example, early childhood programs not only support child development but also improve maternal health, adult literacy, and local employment. We aim to maximize development returns through interconnected investments.

Complementing the Wider Development Community

As a private-sector-led initiative, we complement—not replace—existing efforts. We collaborate with government, civil society, and international partners to build synergies, avoid duplication, and align with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Regional Integration and Scalability

While our initial focus is Cabo Delgado, we recognize shared challenges in neighboring provinces like Nampula and Niassa, which together represent 36% of Mozambique’s population. We promote regional dialogue, generate evidence for scaling successful models, and explore future geographic expansion.

Building Trust Through Visible Results

Delivering rapid, tangible results is key to earning community trust. These early wins pave the way for long-term engagement and transformation.

Ensuring Scale and Measurable Impact

We concentrate our efforts in select areas to ensure meaningful scale and measurable outcomes. Our community-based approach ensures that interventions are relevant, inclusive, and impactful—especially in rural settings.
