To promote inclusive education and keep children—especially girls—in safe, well-equipped schools, this initiative is delivering 20 equipped libraries, including 7 in secondary schools, and constructing 6 new libraries from the ground up. These facilities span 11 districts: Pemba, Mecúfi, Metuge, Ancuabe, Chiure, Montepuez, Mueda, Macomia, Nangade, Mocímboa da Praia, and Palma, benefiting 76,519 children.
Construction and Equipping of Libraries

Implemented in partnership with MEC (Ministry of Education) and DPE/CD, the project is aligned with ENDE’s Pilar II & III, the Strategic Education Plan (2020–2029), and the National Program Vamos Ler. It enhances infrastructure, supports literacy, and provides access to complementary learning resources—boosting enrollment, retention, and academic achievement while strengthening human capital in vulnerable communities.
