Construction of Multipurpose Community Health Posts with multifunction porches

To reduce child mortality and malnutrition, eight multifunctional community health posts are being built across seven of Cabo Delgado’s most underserved districts: Mocímboa da Praia, Palma, Mueda, Chiure, Meluco, Metuge, Montepuez, and Nangade. These facilities will serve 52,000 households and 95,000 children, delivering integrated health and nutrition services directly to communities facing the greatest barriers to care.

Developed in partnership with MISAU (Ministry of Health) and provincial health authorities, this initiative strengthens the primary healthcare network in conflict-affected and remote areas, ensuring consistent access to essential services. It is fully aligned with ENDE’s Pilar II & III, and supports both the Community Health Subsystem Strategy (2022) and the Resilience and Integrated Development Program (PREDIN)—reinforcing Mozambique’s commitment to inclusive, community-based health solutions.
