Rehabilitation of Cyclone-affected Schools

Following the devastation of Cyclone Chido in December 2024, which damaged or destroyed 250 schools, this emergency initiative focuses on rehabilitating six severely affected schools in Pemba and Mecúfi, restoring safe learning environments for 11,313 students.

In partnership with MINEDH (Ministry of Education) and DPE/CD, the project is aligned with ENDE’s Pilar II & III, the Strategic Education Plan (2020–2029), and national emergency support efforts. It ensures continuity in education, protects vulnerable children, and reinforces the resilience of school infrastructure in disaster-prone areas.
