Construction and Expansion of Schools

To keep children, especially girls, in safe, well-equipped learning environments, this initiative is building and upgrading schools in Cabo Delgado. A new school is being constructed in Mondlane, while the school in Maganja is being rehabilitated, expanded, and equipped as the first fully serviced basic school in the country, benefiting 2,530 students.

Implemented in partnership with MEC (Ministry of Education) and DPE/CD, the project is aligned with ENDE’s Pilar II & III, the Education Strategic Plan (2020–2029), the Resilience and Integrated Development Program (PREDIN), and the Cabo Delgado Reconstruction Plan (PRCD). It improves infrastructure, enhances learning conditions, and boosts enrollment, retention, and academic performance – strengthening human capital in vulnerable communities.
