Energy that generates income: first EPA! Bootcamp concluded in Montepuez

On June 1, in Montepuez, we concluded the first Bootcamp of EPA! – Energia para Avançar, a line of our renewable energy program. EPA! is a Mozambique LNG Foundation project, implemented by Epsilon Energia Solar and Fundação Ideialab.
EPA! will prepare young people in the districts of Montepuez, Balama and Namuno to turn energy access into income-generating opportunities. Through a hands-on, learning-by-doing approach, participants build the skills to create and manage their own businesses and to generate income from energy solutions such as solar water pumps and electric mobility.
In Montepuez, 17 participants completed the training – 9 women and 8 men – and the closing ceremony culminated with the delivery of participation certificates.
Among the trainees, one young mother attended accompanied by her baby. With support from the trainers, who helped find a safe and comfortable space for her child, she was able to attend every session and complete the training with confidence – an example of how small adaptations make training more inclusive and accessible to all.

EPA! continues in the districts of Balama and Namuno, bringing more young people the opportunity to turn energy into local development.
