From a shared commitment to a Foundation for Cabo Delgado
In 2022, the Mozambique LNG consortium launched the Pamoja Tunaweza initiative (“Together We Can” in Kiswahili), a community-driven programme designed in collaboration with local communities, government authorities and civil society to foster socio-economic progress near its industrial operations, mainly in the district of Palma, in the Province of Cabo Delgado.
The commitment that set this journey in motion

FROM INITIATIVE TO FOUNDATION
Expanding an impact that was already delivering results
Recognizing the initiative’s positive outcomes, the consortium partners took a decisive step to broaden their impact. They established a dedicated foundation, incorporated under Mozambican law in December 2023, with the mission to support the long-term development priorities of the entire Cabo Delgado province.
The Foundation became fully operational in February 2025, with established governance, executive leadership, and the systems needed to design, manage and scale development programmes across Cabo Delgado.
